Sports physiotherapy in Brussels: from injury back to the pitch

Rehabilitation of sports injuries, athletic retraining and prevention, by physios who are athletes themselves.

A sports injury is not over when the pain goes away. To return to your sport without relapsing, you need to regain strength, mobility, power and confidence in your movements.

At Kiné Châtelain in Ixelles, our sports physiotherapists support you from the first session until you are back on the field, whether you are a runner, an athlete, a football, rugby or tennis player, a combat sports athlete or into weight training.

Our rehabilitation room is equipped for active work: strengthening, plyometrics and balance. Each stage of the return to sport is validated with tests, not just by the calendar.

Frequently asked questions

When should I start physiotherapy after ACL surgery?

Ideally within the first days after surgery, following your surgeon's instructions. Rehabilitation before surgery is also recommended, so your knee is mobile and strong on the day of the operation.

How long before I can return to my sport?

It depends on the injury and your sport. For an ACL, expect 9 months or more before returning to a pivoting sport. We validate each stage with objective tests.

Do I need a prescription?

A medical prescription is required to be reimbursed by your health insurance fund.

I'm not injured: can you help me prevent injuries?

Yes, with an assessment and a prevention programme, or with sports coaching and performance analysis.
