Osteopath in Ixelles: adults, babies, pregnancy and sport

Three osteopaths trained at the ULB (Brussels) to relieve your pain, from newborns to athletes.

Osteopathy looks at the body as a whole: pain in one place can be linked to a loss of mobility elsewhere. Using manual techniques, the osteopath aims to restore that mobility and relieve pain.

At Kiné Châtelain in Ixelles, all our osteopaths completed a university degree at the ULB. They use a wide range of techniques, from joint manipulation to so-called "gentle" techniques, and adapt to your wishes (fear of manipulation, modesty, pregnancy, age).

Each osteopath has a field of expertise: Esther for pregnancy, the postnatal period and children, Ismet for athletes, Idriss for a whole-body approach for adults.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a prescription to see an osteopath?

No, you can book directly, without a medical prescription.

Is osteopathy reimbursed?

Many health insurance funds refund part of osteopathy sessions, often for a limited number of sessions per year. Contact your fund to find out how much.

How many sessions are needed?

Usually three to four sessions at most are enough. If your problem does not improve, we refer you to another professional.

Can I see an osteopath while pregnant, or bring my baby?

Yes. Esther specialises in pregnancy, the postnatal period and paediatric osteopathy, using gentle, adapted techniques.

I dread the "cracking": is it compulsory?

No. Joint manipulation is only one technique among many. Just tell your osteopath and they will use other techniques.
